    Answer: History itself is portrayed in the genres of horse paintings. For example when countries were at war or in earlier times the horse was portrayed in these battle scenes as instruments in war. Many military scenes depicting the horse were portrayed as the horse was used as a mode of transport. As the war’s passed then these paintings became less and less. The same can be said for the Western / Cowboy paintings. This is another era through time and has been captured in the artworks or paintings. Many of these genres were directly influenced by history itself and in today’s times more equine sporting art, horse portraits and horses in their natural surroundings are painted.


    Question: How has the internet influenced or contributed towards art and paintings in general?
    Answer: In previous times before the internet the only way one could view horse paintings was by visiting a gallery. In today’s times with the help of technology you can now easily browse all the different genres of horse paintings online. One can even purchase these horse paintings of choice and have them delivered to your doorstep even if it is from a country far away. Another point to mention is that when browsing on the internet you have options of buying “prints” of the original at a greatly reduced price than what the original painting is being sold at. This allows people who cannot afford to spend $2000 on a horse painting to still have a wonderful picture to be displayed in their homes or workplace.
